PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update software with consistent processing without consuming time and costs from the notification of update until the updating processing of software. SOLUTION: A server 100 manages the update information of software for each product 300 and stores the updated software, and has a function for communicating data with a cellular phone terminal (software update managing device) 200. The product 300 stores the software and its product information and has a function for communicating data with the cellular phone terminal 200 and a function for updating the software. The cellular phone terminal 200 acquires the product information from the product 300, acquires the update information of the software of the product 300 from the server 100 based on the product information, downloads the update software of the product 300 based on the update information, and transmits the downloaded updated software to the product for updating the software.
