PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to miniaturize an electro-optical device which has flexible wiring boards, such as FPC boards, even if the wiring boards become large. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display 1 has a liquid crystal panel 3 for displaying images on the display surface, a case 2 for supporting this liquid crystal panel 3, and a flexible FPC board 51 connected to the liquid crystal panel 3. The FPC board 51 is bent to make at least a part of the surface of the FPC board 51 face the side 2c of the case 2 (J1, J2) at the regions 51a', 51a'' other than the side where the liquid crystal panel 3 and the FPC board 51 are connected. Accordingly, since a large area can be secured for the circuit forming section 51a on the FPC board 51, even when the case 2 is made small for miniaturizing the liquid crystal display 1, it is possible to miniaturize the liquid crystal display 1 made by mounting the FPC board 51 on the 1st liquid crystal panel 3.
