PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection controller for an engine, capable of accurately controlling a fuel injection amount even under a light load or under a heavy load of the engine by suitably switching control by a speed density method and control by a throttle speed method without using an atmospheric sensor. SOLUTION: The controller is provided with an atmospheric pressure detection means 16 for detecting an atmospheric pressure from a suction pipe pressure when the engine state meets condition for detecting the atmospheric pressure from the suction pipe pressure, an atmospheric pressure updated elapsing detection time measuring means 22 by which the atmospheric pressure detection means measures the elapsed time after updating the detected value of the atmospheric pressure as the elapsed time after updating, an atmospheric updated elapsed time judging means 23 for judging whether the elapsed time after updating is not less than an abnormality judging time. When the elapsed time after updating is not less than the abnormality judging time, an injection time calculated by the throttle speed method is prohibited to reflect a real injection time, and the real injection time is equalized to the injection time calculated by the speed density method.
