PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composite material able to perform high-efficient heat transport by organizing and arranging very fine nanofibers, especially making use of a high heat conductivity of the same. SOLUTION: The nanofiber-containing pitch-based carbon fiber contains 0.5-60 wt.% nanofiber having≤300nm diameter and≥10 aspect ratio (ratio of length/diameter) in a carbon matrix having 5-20μm thickness from the surface to the central part and is graphitized.
