<p>Foodstuffs such as meat and sausage products are contained in standard European crates resting on conventional transporting carriages. Weighing of the crates and contents is achieved by suspending them from balances integrated into the tubular track system. Crates are supported on holders(3,3.1) attached by a pair of rods(1) to slides(4) which move along the tubular track(5). Rod separation is retained by spacers(2). One end of a spacer is movably connected to one of the rods while the hooked free end connects with the second rod to allow simple variation of the distance between rods. Rods may be straight or bent with their upper ends suspended from the slides and their lower ends connected to the holders. Holders may have a two stage stepped shape or a single stage U-shape. The free edge of both shapes is turned upwards and runs parallel to the pair of rods. A pair of rods may alternatively be connected to a single slide, instead of two, via a balance(6). The transporting and weighing equipment is constructed from various materials with different thicknesses.</p> |
