A movement indicator (1) for room lighting comprises an optical system comprising a sensor head (5), evaluation electronics and integrated night lighting (11). The indicator has a controlled outlet to a room lighting (13) connection and a reverser (6) controlling actuators (9,10) to switch either the night light or room light in response to a control signal from the sensor head. The reverser is controlled by a time element (7).
