PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibility of overwriting and deletion of waveform analysis data, by saving data in an auxiliary storage device fitted outside a device, without the need for operation of an operator, after the saving of waveform analysis data has been completed in a non-volatile memory inside a digital relay, even if it becomes difficult to install a lot of memory regions inside the digital relay, with the advance of size reduction of the digital relay and cost reduction. SOLUTION: In the saving/storing method of waveform analysis data of the digital relay 1 saving/storing a plurality of pieces of event data in the non-volatile memory 6 in the relay from RAM 5 as event occurrence time waveform analysis data, event occurrence time waveform analysis data saved/stored in the non-volatile memory is automatically saved/stored in the outer auxiliary storage device 2 or 7, which is always connected to the digital relay by the functions of the digital relay with saving/storage finish to the non-volatile memory as the condition.
