PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide one chip semiconductor memory device for dispensing with any specific load for complying with a NAND flash memory such as an ECC in a host device having a NAND memory interface. SOLUTION: This semiconductor memory device can be used for a host system equipped with a predetermined operating system, a file system, a memory interface control part and a NAND memory interface. The semiconductor memory device is constituted of a storage part constituted of a NAND type flash memory, and equipped with at least a storage region with a predetermined capacity and a control part including an ECC for integrally controlling the storage part by decoding a command to be issued from the host system, wherein the data stored in the storage part are configured so as not to be erased.
