PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a transfer capacity in backup/recovery to shorten a backup/recovery time, and to prevent backup system information from being missed in acquisition from a client and to prevent recovery information system from being missed in reflection thereof, by automatic acquisition. SOLUTION: The client 11 has a differential information retrieving means 13 for reading a change of a system condition as system differential information, a differential backup file generating means 14 for generating a differential backup file based on the system differential information, a differential backup file transfer means 15 for transferring the differential backup file to a server, and a differential recovery means for transmitting a recovery request to the server, and for receiving the differential backup file from the server to reflect the whole system condition automatically, and the server 10 has a means for storing the differential backup file received from the server, and for transmitting the differential backup file to the client, in response to the recovery request.
