PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens driving device mounted on a cellular phone or the like. SOLUTION: The lens driving device is equipped with lens frames 30 and 40 holding lenses G2 and G3 and supported to freely move in an optical axis direction L, and an electromagnetic actuator 60 applying driving force for moving the lens frames in the optical axis direction. The electromagnetic actuator 60 includes a stator 61 round which a driving coil 61c is wound, and a cylindrical cam rotor 62 freely turning around the stator 61 and having cam grooves 62a and 62b applying cam action in the optical axis direction on the outer peripheral surface thereof, and the lens frames 30 and 40 include follower pins 33 and 43 engaged with the cam grooves 62a and 62b of the cam rotor 62. Thus, the number of parts is reduced, the structure is simplified and the device is miniaturized in comparison with when adopting a dedicated columnar cam to apply the cam action, a gear train and a dedicated motor to generate driving force as in the conventional manner.
