PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner having excellent storage property even when the toner containing polyester as a binder resin is produced by an emulsion aggregation method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophotographic toner containing a binder resin containing polyester, a colorant and at least two kinds of nonionic surfactants includes steps of: (A) producing resin-containing fine particles having 0.05 to 2μm median particle diameter (D<SB>50</SB>) and consisting mainly of a binder resin in an aqueous medium under the condition that two kinds of nonionic surfactants having the difference of at least 4 in the HLB are present; (B) producing aggregated particles by aggregating the resin-containing fine particles; and (C) uniting the aggregated particles to obtain the electrophotographic toner.
