PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle capable of efficiently deriving a liquid in a vessel by a derivation means abreast of a deriving operation. SOLUTION: The electric kettle is provided with a first check valve case 28 and a second check valve case 26 communicated with the first check valve case 28 and covering its upper opening part. The second check valve case 26 comprises a recessed lower case 29 and an upper case 32 which covers the recessed upper opening part of a lower case 29 to form a case inside guiding out path 31 with the lower case 29. The upper case 32 is partially made to project toward the side of the lower case 29 to reduce the inner capacity of the case inside guiding out path 31 more than that made by the recessing the lower case 29. Thus, the case inside guiding out path 31 is filled with hot water soon after the deriving operation, so that the hot water can efficiently be derived abreast of the deriving operation.
