<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor drive device capable of concurrently attaining high efficiency and minimizing of speed ripples/thrust ripples. <P>SOLUTION: In a linear motor 2 having two windings a winding 3 for PWM drive and a winding 4 for linear drive with a neutral point output, only the winding 4 for linear drive is driven with linear control during such a fixed speed period that low speed ripple/low thrust ripple is required, and the winding for PWM drive is driven in parallel by PWM control in addition to linear control, thus compatibly attaining high efficiency and minimum speed ripple/thrust ripple. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
