<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader in which an error does not occur in the position accuracy of a scanning member and the scanning member is not deformed due to unreasonable drive force acting on the scanning member, and a fixing member can be easily found. <P>SOLUTION: On the inner side of a main body side wall 10c, a shielding plate 74 for freely openably and closably shielding an insertion port 70 is arranged. The shielding plate 74 is turned in the direction of an arrow C centering on a turning part 74a. The turning part 74a is a keeping position 72 for keeping the fixing member 60. When the fixing member 60 is not kept at the keeping position 72, the front surface of the insertion port 70 is shielded by the shielding plate 74. By positioning the fixing member 60 at the keeping position 72, that is inserting the fixing member 60 to the turning part 74a, and rotating the fixing member 60 for about 90 degrees counterclockwise in the Fig.4, the shielding plate 74 is turned and the front surface of the insertion port 70 is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
