<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of conventional printing in index paper in which a user is requred to set index paper information printed on a tab of the index paper for each page and a layout of a character string printed on the index paper cannot be designated by the user. <P>SOLUTION: In receipt of a document drawing output created by an arbitrary application via an operating system, document information is generated, an insert sheet having a tab part is inserted between printing paper sheets, on which print data of the document information is printed, and a character string is printed in the tab part of the insert sheet. When a format of the character string to be printed in the tag part of the insert sheet is set, a printer driver corresponding to the printer is designated. According to the set format, the drawing output of the character string is carried out in the operating system so as to be printed in the tag part of the insert sheet (S2707), and the drawing output of the document information is carried out on the operating system so as to be printed in the print sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
