<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence, which is mounted on a miter saw and supports a workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: The miter saw comprises a base 11 which has a practically horizontal first plane to support the workpiece and a practically horizontal second plane arranged below the practically horizontal first plane. It is also equipped with a table 12 attached rotatably to the base and a saw assembly attached movably to the table, wherein the table is practically on the same plane with the practically horizontal first plane.
