PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of burr on a downstream side in a fluid flow direction from a filter 9 without increasing the number of components and increasing the size of the filter 9. SOLUTION: The filter apparatus is configured so that when a valve seat is incorporated in a valve case 3, a load is applied to a filter frame 52 of the filter 9 from a second filter seating surface in a direction in which a lower side of the filter frame 52 of the filter 9 is pressed against a first filter seating surface 65, to crush a protruding portion 55 disposed on the lower side of the filter frame 52, thereby ensuring sealability, wherein the protruding portion 55 has a asymmetrical (bilateral asymmetrical) shape with a different thickness between the right and left sides in cross section, the first filter seating surface 65 is further formed as an acutely-angled inclined plane, and a side smaller in thickness of the protruding portion 55 is disposed on an upstream side from a longitudinal axis passing through a center of the filter 9 in a thickness direction, whereby the crushed burr inevitably occurs on the upstream side from the longitudinal axis passing through the center of the filter 9 in the thickness direction.
