PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent (EL) device, a manufacturing method thereof and an electronic apparatus, capable of realizing sharp color display, using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The organic EL device comprises a plurality of pixel regions arranged on a substrate, each of the pixel regions having a light-emitting layer, and allows light emitted from the light-emitting layer 60 to exit from the substrate. The substrate is formed of a fiber array substrate 2 that includes a plurality of optical fibers and guides the light emitted from the light-emitting layer 60 along the direction of thickness of the substrate. Color filters 210 are arranged on the light-exit side of the fiber array substrate 2, in correspondence with the pixel regions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
