PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk detector whose circuit scale is reduced by simplifying processing of a high-frequency signal input to detect the type of a disk. SOLUTION: A clamp circuit 20 clamps the low voltage level of the high-frequency signal input by an npn transistor Tr1 with a DC voltage VTL applied thereto at its base and also clamps the high voltage level of the high-frequency signal input by a pnp transistor Tr2 with a DC voltage VTH applied thereto at its base.
