PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly confirm the state of a disk medium while suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: Since the presence/absence of the insertion of a disk and information recorded in the disk can be confirmed from a storage memory without rotating the disk, power required for rotating the disk is suppressed, and it does not take time to confirm the information recorded in the disk and the presence/absence of the insertion of the disk.
