PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of positioning for mounting on a connector provided with three-dimensional optical path components. SOLUTION: A positioning plate 50 is placed on a printed circuit board 30 and three-dimensional optical path components 90 are mounted on the positioning plate 50. This positioning plate has positioning holes 57, 58 made, based on the alignment marks 55, 56, and a photodetector 70 and a light-emitting element 80 are similarly mounted on this plate, based on the alignment marks 55, 56. The three-dimensional optical path components 90 are mounted on the positioning plate 50, by fitting the X and/or Y direction positioning bosses 100, 101 in the positioning holes 57, 58 respectively, and keeping Z-direction positioning projections 102, 103, 104 in abutted against its upper surface 61.
