PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in the optical performance of the entire optical system in a lens barrel even when a plurality of lens moving devices are fitted in the lens barrel. SOLUTION: The lens moving devices 69 and 96 are fitted in an upper lens barrel 65 and a lower lens barrel 90 respectively, which compose a lens barrel. A lens carrier 78 and a drive transmission member 41, which compose the lens moving device 69, are connected so that the lens carrier 78 is pressed to the drive transmission member 41 by a tension spring 82. Likewise, a lens carrier 93 and a drive transmission member 51, which compose the lens moving device 96, are connected so that the lens carrier 93 is pressed to the drive transmission member 51 by a tension spring 97. By making the pressing directions of the tension springs 82 and 97 coincide, the direction of the inclination of the optical axis of the second lens group 67 and that of the optical axis of the fourth lens group 91 are made to coincide.
