PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey a work while suppressing a compressed fluid from being jetted at a high flow speed at a portion where the work does not exist in a conveying device for conveying an object using the fluid while floating the object. SOLUTION: The conveying device has the floating device 3 provided with a base member 7, a chamber 9 for storing the fluid for floating up the object W, a throttle element 11 provided on an entrance of the fluid of the chamber 9 and a fluid jet hole 13 communicated with the chamber 9, having an opening 15 provided on an upper surface of the base member 7 and jetting the fluid for floating up the object W; and a conveying force application means 5 for applying force to the object W in order to convey the object W floated up by the floating device 3.
