PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for a balloon having processability not depending on humidity, printability, toughness and gas barrier properties, and the balloon. SOLUTION: The film for the balloon comprises a biaxially oriented polyester film with a melting point of 230-265°C consisting of the following resin (A) as a base material layer and includes a gas barrier layer and a heat-sealing layer in its constitution. The resin (A) comprises 65-95 wt.% of a polyester component (a) with a melting point of 240-265°C containing ethylene terephthalate as a repeating unit and 5-30 wt.% of a polyester component (b) with a melting point of 185-235°C containing butylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit.
