PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burring method and a burring apparatus by which heating of a die used for burring is automated and working efficiency of the burring is improved. SOLUTION: In a burring method for forming a branched part bulged to the outside of a pipe by boring a prepared hole on the wall surface of the pipe made of metal, arranging a die on the outside of the pipe by bringing the die into contact with the prepared hole, drawing a heated punching die 1c from the inside of the pipe through the prepared hole and the die, the punching die 1c is installed in an induction heating furnace part 1 which is inductively heated with coils 1b installed inside the furnace wall 1d and the punching die 1c is automatically heated by controlling the induction heating furnace part 1 using an automatic heating program on a control panel 2.
