PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of more accurately inspecting the sealing performance of a plastic vessel that is filled with contents to be retort-sterilized and is sealed, and to provide a system for executing it on-line. SOLUTION: In the method of inspecting the goodness/badness of the sealing performance of the retort-sterilized plastic vessel, the height of capacity height position after retort sterilization of the plastic vessel, having a decompression panel filled with hot pack of 60-100°C is higher than the height before the retort sterilization. After controlling pressure and performing retort sterilization so that the variation in capacity height position becomes small, all the capacity height positions are measured so as to distinguish a leak vessel online.
