PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LNG shipping method for expelling oxygen intruded into a pipe before LNG loading work in a short time and returning natural gas stored in the pipe after LNG loading work into an LNG storage tank in a short time without diffusing the natural gas into the atmosphere. SOLUTION: An LNG receiving pipe 19 and a gas exhaust pipe 23 are mutually connected by a connection pipe 70 provided with a gate valve 69 in advance. Upon completion of transfer of LNG into a transportation tank 16, a shipment side LNG shutting-off valve 13, a cargo receiving side LNG shutting-off valve 18, and a gas exhaust valve 22 are closed, respectively, and the gate valve 69 is opened to supply inactive gas into an LNG delivery pipe 14 and let it flow into an LNG delivery pipe 14, the LNG receiving pipe 19, the connection pipe 70, the gas exhaust pipe 23, and a gas receiving pipe 28 until concentration of the natural gas in the gas receiving pipe 28 reaches a fixed concentration or less so that the natural gas stored in respective pipes 14, 19, 70, 23, 28 is expelled and recovered all at once.
