PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt tightening tool capable of preventing damage of a belt at a time of tightening. SOLUTION: The belt tightening tool 1 includes a connection metal fitting including a pair of arms 10 and connected to a hook 3, and two side wall pars 21 arranged in parallel inside of a pair of the arms 10. Two bars 22, 23 separably suspended on two side wall parts 21 and an operation lever 6 pivotally supported by the arms 10 via pins 14 respectively on the two side wall parts 21, and having a belt 2 wound around is provided. An inner end of the pin 14 exists at roughly same position as an inner surface of the side wall part 21 in relation to a surface perpendicularly crossing direction of the side wall part 21, and does not project to inner side than the inner surface of the side wall part 21.
