摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the compressibility by obtaining the floatability, restricting the positional deviation of a tip seal. SOLUTION: Seal grooves 5 and 14 for inserting the tip seal 7 are formed in laps 3 and 12 of a fixed scroll 1 and a revolving scroll 10 respectively. A projection 6 is formed in the seal grooves 5 and 14. The tip seal 7 provides a projection inserting groove 8 in which the projection 6 is fitted. When pressing force A is applied to the tip seal 7 in the spiral direction, the positional deviation of the tip seal 7 is restricted by the projection 6 and the projection fitting groove 8. A clearance 9 is formed to reduce the frictional resistance between the projection 6 and the projection fitting groove 8. Thereby, the tip seal 7 can be smoothly risen to the surface by air pressure B applied to a bottom face 7A side without being caught with the projection 6, and can be stably and slidably in contact with the opposite bottom land 11A (2A).
