PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for filtration by gravity, with which purification accuracy can be remarkably improved, an apparatus for filtration by the gravity capable of purifying water by the gravity and drinking equipment provided with them. SOLUTION: The apparatus for filtration by the gravity is provided with an upper trough part 8, a lower trough part 9, a partition wall 10 between the upper trough part 8 and the lower trough part 9, an opening part 11 formed on the partition wall 10, and a water purification cartridge 12 provided in the opening part 11.
