PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adsorb a large volume of nitrogen at a normal temperature/normal pressure or even at a normal temperature/reduced pressure by providing ZSM-5 type zeolite having a higher gas adsorption activity than a conventional existing adsorbent material, particularly a higher adsorption capacity to nitrogen and exchanged with a copper ion. SOLUTION: A larger amount of gas species can be adsorbed/fixed than the conventional existing adsorbent material by making at least 60% or more of copper site of the copper ion-exchanged ZSM-5 type zeolite to copper monovalent site. Further, if at least 70% or more of the copper monovalent site is made to the copper monovalent site with tri-coordination of oxygen, stronger gas adsorption becomes possible.
