PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug, a dialysate, and a method for relieving peritoneal disorders accompanying a peritoneal dialysis by inhibiting carbonyl compounds from modifying protein in the peritoneum during the peritoneal dialysis. SOLUTION: Carbonyl compounds formed and accumulated in a peritoneal dialysate can be inactivated or eliminated by a carbonyl compound-trapping agent such as aminoguanidine. Carbonyl compounds formed during the sterilization and storage of the peritoneal dialysate can be eliminated by bringing the compounds into contact with the trapping agent in advance. Furthermore, it is made possible to eliminate carbonyl compounds originating in the blood of a patient which have flowed into the peritoneal cavity as the dialysis proceeds, by adding the trapping agent to the peritoneal dialysate or by circulating the fluid through a carbonyl compound-trapping cartridge.
