A mobile phone that cap store and display personal medical information is presented. The mobile phone (900) includes a medical data software application (910) executable by a digital processor (940) within the mobile phone. A storage device (920) containing the personal medical information is coupled with the digital processor (940) and a user interface (930) is used to access and manipulate the medical data software application (910) and personal medical information. The medical data software application (910) is also coupled with a communications module (950) to allow remote wireless access to the medical data application (910) from another device.
