Glass article production plant, includes partial systems comprising rotating tables supplied with glass tubes and moved stepwise to work stations, plus edge melting partial systems fed by conveyor belts

In a glass article production plant with partial systems with holding chucks (20-23) supplied with glass tubes and moved stepwise in a circular path to work station(s), plus edge melting partial systems, each partial production system has a rotating table (30-33) fitted with the holding chucks and aligned with parallel conveyor belts (39, 40), having receivers for articles cut from the tubes, to transfer the articles to the melting systems. A glass article production plant uses several partial systems with holding chucks (20-23) rotating around vertical axes, supplied with glass tubes via tube guides (34 -37) and moved stepwise in a circular path to work station(s). Further partial systems are provided for melting sharp edges formed in cutting the articles from the tubes. The novel feature is that each partial production system has a rotating table (30-33) fitted with the holding chucks and aligned with parallel conveyor belts (39, 40), having receivers for articles cut from the tubes and transferred from a vertical to a horizontal position, which supply the articles to the melting partial systems.
