<p>The wheel (2) is held in a fork element (4) joined to the wheel axle (3) and accommodating a brake unit (B) underneath its upper segment (7). The brake unit (B) is assembled of two complementary brake pads (12) joined at one end with a bolt serving as a rotation axle. The pads (12) are kept apart by a pressure spring. A cable (19) is guided through openings in both pads (12) and through the center of the spring. One end of the cable (19) is attached to the outer surface of one of the brake pads (12) while the sheath (22) of the cable is pulled against the opposite pad (12).</p> |
