PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a fine and uniform gap between the respective layers for long term by interposing a spiral member constituting a die by winding a platy material between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder, in a mold for closed forging. SOLUTION: The inner diameter of the spiral member 33 is enlarged to somewhat large diameter and inserted into the outer surface 32a of the inner cylinder 32, and the spiral member 33 is wound onto the outer surface 32a of the inner cylinder 32 with the elastic force and a small gap is developed between the spiral member and the inner surface 31a of the outer cylinder 31. Under state of winding the spiral member 33 onto the outer surface 32a of the inner cylinder 32, the outer cylinder 31 is inserted from the outer part, and both end parts of the spiral member 33 are engaged by hanging to step parts 34, 34, and the outer cylinder 31 and inner cylinder 32 are mutually rotated and both end parts of the spiral member 33 are pushed into the rewinding direction with the step parts 34, 34 and thus, the small gaps 35, 35 can be developed between respective layers of the spiral plate material, Successively, the end surface of the spiral member 33 is weld at four positions of the circumferential direction by using a welding nozzle 36 under inert gas atmosphere.
