PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 12-position substituted derivative of a novel analog of mutiline which exhibits a strong and broad antibacterial action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including various resistant bacteria and is promising in the use as an agent for treating infectious diseases. SOLUTION: The agent for treating infectious diseases contains at least one of mutiline derivatives represented by formula (1) and its acid addition salts as an active ingredient.
