PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus that can display a stereoscopic image with perspective quality. SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes: a screen 1 having a front face and a back face facing in opposite directions to each other, the screen which is disposed with the front face opposing to an observation side and allows the light entering the front face to be reflected to the observation side and the light entering the back face to pass and exit to the observation side; and an image light projecting means 11 which projects first and second image light beams A, B to project two planar images substantially in an identical pattern observed from the observation side onto the screen, in such a manner that the first image light A is projected from a side of a front region of the screen 1 toward the front face of the screen and that the second image light B is projected from the back of the screen 1 toward the back face of the screen to enter the projection region of the first image light A on the screen 1.
