PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, of which the quality will not deteriorate, even if it is miniaturized. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has the outer periphery substrates, disposed so as to face each other with a liquid crystal in-between, which has oriented films that contact the liquid crystal, in which a sealing agent that joints each substrate on the outer edge of the oriented films is disposed so as to stride across the outer edge.
