PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the intensity of an interference signal higher than that in prior art. SOLUTION: This interference signal magnifying device comprises a mirror 11 for dividing light 2a with a band of one octave or more into a long wavelength component and a short wavelength component bordering on the central wavelength, mirrors 12<SB>1</SB>-12<SB>k</SB>for further dividing the light of the long wavelength component into two or more wavelength components, second harmonics generators 15<SB>1</SB>-15<SB>k</SB>for wavelength-converting the lights of respective wavelength components divided by the mirrors 12<SB>1</SB>-12<SB>k</SB>into second harmonics, and a polarizer 21 for synthesizing an interference signal by making a light of short-wavelength component interfere with two or more wavelength-converted lights.
