PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a default mechanism of a throttle valve opening and closing device for a purpose of improving mountability of the device to a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a motor generates no driving forces, a throttle valve 18 is held in a position (1) by a return spring. Gapsδ1 andδ2 are formed between the throttle valve 18 and a wall surface of an intake passage 19. Spherical recesses 26, 27 are formed in parts of the wall surface of the intake passage. In a position (2) where the throttle valve is opposed to the spherical recesses 26, 27, the gapsδ1 andδ2 are minimized in an operating range of the throttle valve. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
