PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of performing a wiping operation capable of allowing a nozzle hole to stably eject ink, a wiping method, and a wiping blade. SOLUTION: This printer comprises an inkjet head 3, a wiping blade 4, a wiping liquid container 7, and a driving member 20. The inkjet head 3 ejects ink to a recording medium through a nozzle hole 2 formed on a nozzle plate 1. The wiping blade 4 wipes the nozzle plate 1. The wiping liquid container 7 contains a wiping liquid 5. The driving member 20 changes the position of the wiping blade 40. The driving member 20 displaces the position of the wiping blade 4 between a standby position of the wiping blade 4 where the wiping blade 4 is dipped into the wiping liquid 5 and an operational position of the wiping blade 4 where the nozzle plate 1 is wiped.
