PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide fixing device and a biological photometer based on an optical waveguide arrangement method in which the whole range of the head of an examinee can be measured in biological photometry. SOLUTION: The head of the examinee is considered as a combination of a plurality of ranges, each range is filled with square lattices, and optical waveguides are disposed on apexes of the square lattices. The head is covered by a combination of squares and triangles, and the optical waveguides are disposed on the apexes of an obtained polygon. Alternatively, the head is covered with pentagons and hexagons, and the optical waveguides are arranged on their apexes and inside an obtained polygon. For avoiding hair that may affect setting time, air currents are used for pushing hair aside. The optical waveguides can thus be disposed to the head almost without gaps.
