A door opening and closing apparatus for a refrigerator is provided to prevent friction between gaskets to reduce wearing and damage of the gaskets. A door opening and closing apparatus for a refrigerator includes a plurality of doors(35R,35L), a gasket assembly(50), a hinge mechanism(45), and an interference member(60). The plurality of doors opens and closes a main body of the refrigerator. The gasket assembly is installed between the doors to seal a gap between the doors. The hinge mechanism connects the door to the main body of the refrigerator such that a rotational center of the door can move to a certain range with respect to the main body of the refrigerator. The interference member moves the door to separate the gasket assembly from the door by interference between the doors when the door is opened.
