<p>An exhaust gas analyzer capable of real time analyzing of exhaust gas by measuring, on a spot-by-spot basis, the concentration, temperature, etc. of the exhaust gas components at one cross-section of an exhaust path. Using the analyzer reduces analysis costs. An exhaust gas analyzer (10) has a sensor section (11-14) in an exhaust path, the sensor section (11-14) having an optical fiber (25) for irradiating exhaust gas with laser light and a detector (26) for receiving the laser light emitted from the optical fiber and transmitted through the exhaust gas, the exhaust path being constructed from an exhaust manifold (3) for discharging the exhaust gas of an engine (2), an exhaust pipe (4), a first catalyst device (5), a second catalyst device (6), a muffler (7), and an exhaust pipe (8). The exhaust gas analyzer (10) analyses the exhaust gas by measuring conditions such as the concentration, temperature, etc., of its components based on the laser light received by the detector. The sensor section has a through-hole (21) having a shape matching a cross-sectional shape of the exhaust path. Infrared laser light (R) is emitted from the optical fiber (25) to the through-hole (21) and received by the detector (26) after crossing the exhaust path.</p> |
