MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING DEVICE AND METHOD

There are provided an MRI device and method capable of minimizing the image quality degradation and reducing the imaging time in table-shift imaging. When a wide range of an examinee is imaged while moving a table on which the examinee is placed, imaging is repeated while changing the gradient magnetic field intensity in the phase encode direction and the imaging field-of-view FOV of the reading direction is modified while changing the gradient magnetic field intensity when reading out the data according to the phase encode amount. At the portion where the imaging FOV is increased, the data acquisition frequency is lowered, which reduces the entire imaging time. With modification of FOV, the data sampling time may also be modified. The spatial resolution can be maintained without requiring the process for aligning the matrix size in the read out direction.
