METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING MANAGEMENT INFORMATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for transmitting management information in a wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to identify a mesh link by using a target MP(Mesh Point) address combined with an extension unit or by using an independent identifier like a random number as well as by using a unique mesh link ID. A method for transmitting management information in a wireless communication system comprises the following several steps. The first MP transmits a management frame to the second MP wherein the management frame includes the first MAC(Medium Access Control) address(310). The second MP receives the management frame from the first MP(320). The second MP checks whether it is a destination MP(330). If the second MP is not a destination MP, the second MP updates the management frame(340), and transmits the management frame to the third MP(350).
