<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption of a recording medium and to reduce time necessary for controlling colors by recording an image for detection and an actual image to be used to control the colors on an identical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This color image forming apparatus comprises a means for detecting a density or a chromaticity of an image for detection formed on a recording medium. The color image forming apparatus records a prescribed image for detection on a recording medium, controls an image forming condition by using the result obtained by detecting the image for detection by means of a detection means, and records an actual image on the recording medium having the image for detection formed thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
