<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analgesic composition which is safe and does not produce a side effect. <P>SOLUTION: Pain can be reduced by administering an amino acid, theanine, passing through a blood-brain gate as such or a dipeptide comprising the theanine and another amino acid and passing through a blood-brain gate.
