<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed occupancy state detection method capable of correctly detecting a bed occupancy state of a cared person. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes a comparison step of comparing at least one of parameters of a prescribed parameter P<SB>S</SB>and a prescribed parameter P<SB>L</SB>with a previously set threshold, when loads on the front right part, the front left part, the rear right part, and the rear left part of a bed section 21 of a bed 20 are W<SB>1</SB>, W<SB>2</SB>, W<SB>3</SB>, and W<SB>4</SB>respectively, and constants regarding regional widths from the right end and left end are respectively B<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>2</SB>(0≤B<SB>1</SB>≤0.5 and 0≤B<SB>2</SB>≤0.5), while constants regarding regional widths from the front end and rear end are respectively B<SB>3</SB>and B<SB>4</SB>(0≤B<SB>3</SB>≤0.5 and 0≤B<SB>4</SB>≤0.5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
